Introducing Fort Collins Chiropractor Dr. Luke Martin

Fort Collins Chiropractor Dr. Luke Martin When I was in grade school I experienced an excruciating tailbone injury, which resulted in my first subluxation. This sent me hobbling into the office of my parent’s chiropractor, who told me a little about what was wrong, and what he planned to do to fix my problem. Their chiropractic doctor adjusted a few areas of my spine and I walked away as if I never injured my spine! I can’t express how impress I was with the knowledge and skill my chiropractic doctor demonstrated.

I chose to become a chiropractic doctor for many reasons apart from my own experiences with spinal injury; I wanted to help others, I wanted to encourage others to strive for health without using drugs and other toxic substances, and I wanted to adopt a holistic philosophy. I knew from my early chiropractic care experience that a chiropractor’s knowledge of health was unsurpassed by that of any health professional, which is inspiring!

Chiropractic care is based on the idea that the body can heal itself to maintain health. I believe this is true. I don’t believe you need a pill to cure a disease.

I always saw aspirin as something that would interfere with the normal messages my body was trying to send to get my attention, so I thought it best to avoid it…

My early experiences with chiropractic care encouraged me to pursue my studies in health and wellness. Eventually I made the decision to pursue my education in chiropractic care at Palmer College of Chiropractic, the fountainhead of the chiropractic profession. This experience challenged me in every way, and provided me with the confidence to know there was nothing I could not handle. The best part of the staff at Palmer was Dr. Guy Reikeman. He was one of the most exceptional teachers I have ever had!

OUR GOAL

Our goal is to restore lost spinal and nervous system function, and maintain function at the highest point for each individual.
This is true health!

OUR PHILOSOPHY

Our philosophy is to educate each patient about the spine and nervous system’s impact on ALL areas of health, and the necessity of maintaining an optimal level of life. A key area of patient management is to understand what the goal is: do they want to patch or fix the issue at hand?

This gives them a proactive decision in a care plan tailored to them. People that do the best in our office expect to play an active part in all decisions in their care. The most satisfying moment in practice is when patients get adjusted to enhance their current level of health.

ABOUT ME

I have an amazing little boy who is the inspiration in my life. My extra time is spent reading avidly on as many subjects as possible, body building, and spending time with my family.

MY PERSONAL PHILOSOPHY

I receive an adjustment about once a week to maintain optimal health. I eat healthy foods and try to stay balanced. My son eats exceptionally well in quantity and quality. We do not use “medicine” in the traditional Western sense in our household, although I do feel that emergency and traumatic healthcare is awesome. I feel general disease care in a medical sense is a sinking ship, only fueled by the need to increase profits on the backs of the sick and dying.
